Thanos Thanos:
But Trudeau would have already solved the world wide problem with Islam by strategic distribution of hugs and brand-new running shoes so the the Parliament Hill shooting wouldn't have happened at all if he'd been in charge.

On the other hand, a handful of our troops "training" seems to have ISIS on the run more than using $100,000,000 planes to drop $1/2 million bombs on $2000 Toyota trucks and mud huts ever did.

Harper was good at keeping the frothing uber-righties at bay. He had them let off steam passing a Crime Bill every 24 hours. Seemed to work.

Nworng. It's more like Assad's guys and the Iraqi Shia militias are engaging in full force with the same viciousness that has ISIS on the run. Nasty little not-too-well-kept secret being applied over there - scorched earth warfare works wonders. :|

Trudeau's new plan is to re-engage with peacekeeping, with our troops being under the full control of some UN office in New York City again. Given how much the world has changed since the Chretien debacles in Bosnia and Rwanda, which were humiliating enough, we can now look forward to Trudeau dispatching Canadian soldiers to places where they're likely to get kidnapped and then videotaped as their heads are cut off with knives. Attention to anyone in the Forces, especially infantry or ground logistics - get out of the military NOW while you can, before you end up getting decapitated all for the sake of PM Care Bear's fucking hippie ego. :evil:

And no, I don't know if Justin Trudeau is capable of fixing all this. He may have inherited Pierre's charisma, but I have yet to really see him display Pierre's intellect.

Thank you for your service. Never agreed with his policies, but gotta give the guy credit for some of what he accomplished.

Of course, those Canadians training and directing them aren't "real" soldiers and couldn't possibly have any effect whatsoever because the man at the desk in Ottawa isn't old and grey.
Just like Harper wasn't clever enough to know that his policy was mainly a show with as little commitment and risk as possible. Give Harper some credit, he was far smarter than most of his supporters and back benchers.
Give Trudeau the same credit for realizing most Canadians don't share the same opinion as the tongue-up-the-ass of the American right anti-UN anti-peacekeeping (cuz we don't always get our way and are no damn good at peacekeeping) lot.

WTF did he accomplish, exactly? New paint job on the jet? Taking credit for the fiscal position he inherited from Paul Martin?

He has done real and permanent damage to the incomes of farmers across western Canada. He did this despite the democratic process. He did this despite reason.

Wait till you see this year's cluster fuck. Bumper crop and no wheat board to organize moving it. When the grain hasn't been making it to port on time, the farmers are the ones stuck paying late fees. And they've paid. Ever since Steve's steamroller, they've paid.

I'ts my family's 100 year celebration on the farm this fall. I invite anybody to come on down and explain how wonderful Steve is. Warning, you may incur a dental bill.

Fuck you Steve.

R=UP

Churchill isn't even going to take any grain shipments this year, because grain is going to the private terminals owned by the owners of the factory farms instead.

And Harpers' "Tough on Crime" policies mostly ended up getting quashed as unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.
