You con't need total oil independence, just stop Saudi oil. 13% of your oil came from SA in 2014. Just replace that with other sources. The fact this number is so low makes me think that there must be other reasons why SA is such a darling of the US. Why Bush allowed the Saudis to fly home. They certainly seem to have their hooks in the Bush family, and somehow the got them into Barry too - doubt they knew who he was before he became pres.

I still think when prexy is elected, they take him to the secret room, with the secret books, and open his eyes. (Prexy comes from sci fi where the pres was just a media figure head - written about Ronny, I believe.)

Andy, my country has been at war with Islam since it's very inception. Lots of different regimes and countries but all the same the Muslims have waged war against us and in each and every war they cite their religion as why they are doing it. I want it to stop and if that means burning every last Koran, tearing down every last mosque, then so be it. Or if it means tomorrow I wake up and the Muslims declare universal peace with everyone else then I'm all for that, too.

But this shit has to stop.

Now as to your assertion that not all Muslims are waging war well, not all Germans or Japanese waged war, did they? Many of those people went to their jobs every day and built bombs for other people to use...much like the skilled bomb and rocket makers of Hamas. They were out in the streets cheering when their troops were victorious just like the people in Gaza cheered when the planes hit the towers in NYC.

And just like you pointed out the Saudis are behind a lot of the terror. Why? Because they're the House of Saud and they speak for Arab Islam. Their imam at the Grand Mosque speaks for them when he says Islam is at war with everyone else.

I choose to take the Muslims at their word when they say they want to kill us.

You choose to ignore them for some odd reason despite how these mutts consistently translate their words into actions.

Just as the USA didn't try to collectively parse who the 'good' Japanese were on 7 Dec 1941 I doubt we'll care to parse the Muslims anymore when some other date is etched on our hearts as the day a few million Americans get flash fried.

Islam /= to a country. You going to go after Indonesia, say? You going to attack India for harboring 150 million Muslims? And so on. Plus, you should know this, you just don't have the power to go after all the countries that are mostly Muslim, from the west of Africa across to the middle east into Iran/astan/pstan. Plus all the stans etc around Russia. You don't have the capability to make war on all that, never mind making peace afterward.

You want to declare war on Saudi Arabia, go ahead. I wish you good luck, please let us know beforehand.

Islam transcends countries.

Al Qaeda and ISIS don't have borders, do they? Their supporters are representative of all Islamic communities. The UK Muslims have no problem fighting for the Syrian Muslims. The Indonesian Muslims have no problem fighting for the Malaysian Muslims.

Islam is a national identity.
