"That is it. The Hague is an international kangaroo court."
... until they prosecute someone that you DON'T like, anyway.

"prosecute honest serbs" As I asked before, have the people who ran the rape camps ever been prosecuted? Just more honest Serbs, I guess.

The collapse of Yugoslavia allowed evil men of various creeds and ethnicity to commit atrocities against others who had a different ethnicity and creed. No specific group was innocent there. They all committed atrocities against innocent civilian populations. Neighbours, and even families, who had lived peaceably turned on each other in a frenzy of sectarian violence. Grudges that had smoldered for generations and even centuries exploded. It was Serb on Croat on Bosniac on Crot on Slovene on Orthodox on Muslim on Catholic on whomever. It was Europe.

It'd be easier to pick out the good guys from the bad ones in places like Syria or Iraq than in the old Yugoslavia.

I will remind everybody that the small battle engaged by our army in Bosnia was fought againt the Croats with our soldiers protecting Serb civilians from being (potentially) massacred. There were no good guys, there. You have to admit that they all deserved each other, though.

Thanos Thanos: It'd be easier to pick out the good guys from the bad ones in places like Syria or Iraq than in the old Yugoslavia. Even then, if our soldiers start operating in Syria against ISIS, they will be, effectively, supporting Assad and his murderous thugs. We have to honestly consider whether we are on thee side of any "good guys".

It isn't good guys vs bad there....it's choosing the lesser evil we can live with. Look at Syrian society before the civil war broke out. Women had (relative)equality, religious minorities were protected, there was a fairly affluent and educated middle class and a highly developed infrastructure.....there's more chance of change coming from that then there is from the Sons of Iblis in ISIS.

andyt andyt: "prosecute honest serbs" As I asked before, have the people who ran the rape camps ever been prosecuted? Just more honest Serbs, I guess. I do not care. Do you? Seriously? Ask that question all you want --- it is a diversion. As I said, "It was started by foreign mercenaries who dressed up like traditional Serb and Croat warriors to create the rivalry." So, keep asking to prosecute Serbs but you are not honestly looking for the truth. Jabberwalker Jabberwalker: "That is it. The Hague is an international kangaroo court."
... until they prosecute someone that you DON'T like, anyway. Did I say that? Are you trying to revise history? I lost family and friends on both sides of that foreign invasion. I am not biased. You?

Actually, here is my bias.
Yugoslavia was the armpit of Europe. It was the last stand of the Neanderthals. The place is populated by the terminally backward. All parties involved deserve each other... Bunch of miserable pricks. Idiots like that lit the powder keg of WWI and for some bizarre reason, we came to the aid of those animals at the time.
We did it again two decades ago, putting our young men in harm's way for the sake of that human waste pi!e.Your so-called "invasion" wasn't worth it. We should have cordoned off Bosnia and let the filthy beasts destroy each other.
P.s. You must be a Serb. They're all hard-done-by victims, just like their Russian cousins.

Co-worker of mine from way-back-when did peacekeeping there. Said the same thing, that regardless of which side the locals were all vicious mongrel assholes. He said the Muslims would spit at them and their kids like to do things like shoot needles through straws they were using as blowguns at the peacekeepers. Then when the day came that the PK's pulled out, and the Muslims had to deal with the Serbs on their own, the locals all started whining and crying "don't leave us!" because without the UN the Serbs were going to come in a cleanse/kill them all. Fucking lowlifes put together weren't worth the life of a single one of our guys that were sent over there.
