Here's an example of how fast a bike can stop. This one going 100kph stops in 102.1'. Going 60kpm it stops in 30.38'.

Yeah but that ain't no Harley.

My brakes suck, really bad. They are as bad as the '72 Pan/shovel I had, many years ago.
I know it and ride to match that fact.

The new ones are better, ABS and all that stuff now.

2Cdo 2Cdo:
Wrong. It's a designated passing lane period. you aren't supposed to pass in the right lane unless it's dipshits like you driving slowly in the passing lane.

Incorrect, you have mixed up rules for a 2 lane road and passing to the right to avoid having to cross into an on coming lane to overtake a vehicle, with a multi lane road way with 2 or more lanes in the direction of your travel.

You are free to overtake someone in the right lane of travel on a multi lane road with more than 1 lane of travel in your direction.

The rule against passing on the right is to stop people from using the shoulder to pass vehicles.

Please learn the rules of the road, they are law.

ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog:
I guess the Trans Canada is just a tiny area, because that sign is posted all along it.

Grab me a google street view of the sign, 'slower traffic keep right', isn't a passing lane designation and so long as you are at the safe limit you don't have to drive in any designated lane.

I can show you a passing lane sign if you are mixed up.

My Guzzi doesn't have ABS brakes either but it does have killer proportional Bembeno brakes which stop on a dime. The crashed bikes looked new but maybe they've done nothing to improve them.
