That's because you're young and you don't know good music yet... you'll learn. Classical is hundreds of years old and people still love it. Pop is over 50 and people still love it. I kinda wonder where EDM will be in 50 years... probably dead and buried.
If you looked at my music library you'd change your tune. I've got everything from Bach to Metallica to Deadmau5 to Led Zepplin to Eminem to Michael Jackson.

My taste in music is extensive too, from Yes and Genesis, classical, blues, jazz... but you won't find any Country-Western and rap. All the electronic and mix stuff they do today leaves me dry too.
