Welcome home Omar. No more torture and bullying from the guards of the Great Satan.
At least in Canada you'll feel safe knowing that if one of the guards should so much as forget to lock the gates separating you from other prisoners, he'll be punished. A week's suspension with pay.

And FFS can the whining. His parole hearings will get the same speedy process as his return. Bunk the guy with Picton. A pig farmer'd make a good cellmate for this little shit.

If there's a death-match between Khadr and Picton, I'll put my money on Khadr.

He's more Canadian than you are, born here, so he gets to come home no matter what.

Brenda is ten times the Canadian Omar Khadr is, whether she has citizenship or not.

Well said Saturn R=UP

Omar should be the poster boy for getting rid of automatic citizenship just because
mommy squats over and drops you on the ground here.

Honestly I hope CSIS is keeping a nice close eye on his family. While I think Khadr being brought home to serve his sentence here is good the entire family should be charged with treason with some of the comments they have made in the past. Let the whole family rot in jail.

He’s no different to the tens of thousands of other very unsavoury people who will do their time and be back in the general population of Canada soon enough. He’s committed offences that sicken us but so have the other 15,000 in federal custody.

It's driving me up the wall people are calling this fuck a child soldier. He was 15. Two months shy of his 16th birthday. We can enlist in the reserves at 16. Keep the ass in jail as long as possible.

FieryVulpine FieryVulpine:
$1:
Bob Rae said the repatration of Khadr was "long overdue."

"It is extremely unfortunate that it took the Conservative government this long to fulfil its responsibility to bring him back to Canada... Now Mr. Khadr will serve the remainder of his sentence under the supervision of the Canadian correctional system, and we can ensure that he receives proper treatment and rehabilitation," he said.

Stupid question, why did the Liberal not press hard for his release when they were still in power? It is mostly a rhetorical question, it has mostly to do with partisan politics.

Release?

This:

$1:
“Mr. Khadr was the only Western citizen left in Guantanamo. And that’s because other countries, Australia for instance and others, had repatriated their citizens back to their countries,” said Dewar.

He is our problem, and the Liberals have been consistently saying the same thing for many years.

$1:
Jun 4, 2007:
Liberal foreign affairs critic Ujjal Dossanjh stressed that, while the entire Khadr family may have a dubious reputation amongst Canadians, as a matter of principle the federal government needs to do what it can to make sure the proper legal steps are taken in the case against the 20-year-old.

"[He] is not a character who attracts a lot of sympathy [...] but that's not the ultimate issue," Dossanjh told Macleans.ca's Kady O'Malley. "[The issue] is whether we respect international law, due process and fairness in tribunals and whether we speak out in defence of fairness and due process. This government has been deafeningly silent on these issues. It is quick to lecture other states, but on this very important issue ... it has been totally silent."

$1:
December 21, 2005: (About Omar's Father)
Prime Minister Paul Martin said Sunday that Abdullah Khadr, arrested by the RCMP in Toronto on a provisional warrant issued by the United States, will have all the rights of any Canadian citizen during a police investigation. He then went on to say, "The family came to Canada many, many years ago, and they obtained Canadian citizenship many years ago. They have Canadian citizenship, and we don’t have two classes of citizens."

When did the Liberals or the NDP ask for his release, or anything other than fair treatment that should be afforded any Canadian citizen?

^^ This.

If anything, someone out there is going to pay this man a visit when he gets parole next year. You can see this coming a mile away.

Way more loathing than fear.
