Gunnair Gunnair:
Up to interpretation what your point was. What can be agreed upon was yet another drive by insult to anyone with faith by Lemmy.
I'm sorry that's what you think, partly because I had no intention to insult anyone's faith and partly because you've labelled my position completely incorrectly. In fact, I thought my position on this thread was pretty clearly IN SUPPORT of peoples' (in this case inmate Wiccans) right to practise their faith.
Gunnair Gunnair:
Really, we get you have issues with religion. Oh, and Curt wants the end of prohibition against pot and Andy wants wealth equity.
I have no problems whatsoever with religion. I'm a true libertarian in that regard: to each his own. Believe what you want to believe. Others' faiths have absolutely zero impact on my life. It seems, however, that people of faith are pretty quick to turn to personal attacks when those without faith start to discuss the historical facts and scientific facts that contradict a particular religion's beliefs. Just like my signature quotation says: if you want to practise your religion, go nuts, I won't say a word about it. But if you want to tell me the Earth was created in 7 days or Jesus rose from the dead, don't get mad at me when I call bullshit.
Gunnair Gunnair:
Funny though, the twist you get in your panties when someone throws out a drive by anti-union shot though.
http://www.canadaka.net/forums/canadian-politics-f17/psac-endorses-parti-quebecois-t102285.htmlI particularly find this admonishment ironic...
Lemmy Lemmy:
But you like your labels
I'm not really a big union supporter either. I recognize their failings. What I am is a supporter of others' right to form unions. Whether I think they're good or bad is secondary, much the same as I view religion. It's not for me, but knock yourself out with it if you like. It seems that I'm always defending unions because of all the ill-informed shit rabid anti-unioners toss about here on CKA.
