This is an interesting situation, Here we have a group that claims the lands are sacred and should not be disturbed, In that I see no problem as long as there is some definitive proof that the lands are sacred.
My biggest fear is this band is using this claim to increase the value of the land. I hope that these people are more honorable than that. If the land is sacred is should not be touched, Forever, Not until the price is right.

Guys, lets clarify: They are not asking for control of said land or for money. They are asking that it be preserved, protected and arhaeoligically excavated. As much as you want to tie this to your narrative about evil indians out for money, its just not.
