Chumley Chumley:

Hey that reminds me of a marriage arguement from a while back.
I think you might be on to something, but I would change it slightly.
Anyone who gets married should do so with the intent of having kids. If you don't have kids you get to raise one. That way people will get married for the purpose of having kids, and people will think twice before getting married because there would be more serious repercussions to doing something they haven't thought out.
Might avoid a lot year long marriages that way.

EXCUSE ME???????????

Chumley Chumley:
Wear the condom, use the pill.

Just a question for you, Chumley...

If the pill for men really existed, and worked properly, would you consider taking it and shoving hormones into your system everyday to prevent your ladies from getting pregnant?

Assuming you are not married ;-)

Well, why get into a binding contract just because you love each other?
If you are in love just be in love. Why do you need marriage for that?
If you are going to raise kids, that is more serious. That's where you need a contract, a serious legal commitment.

Well not wanting to have children is grounds for annulment.

We could also further amend my suggestion. Since the people who seem to be virulently opposed to abortion could care less if the women ended up having to raise her child alone they should be made to help.

Everybody registers their abortion stance and any unwanted child is drafted out to anti-abortionists regardless of marital status.

If they have no problem forcing a women to have a baby then should completely support the women forcing them to raise the child.

You know, I may actually be onto something. Forcing some of the posters here to put their money where their mouth is and start doing something about all these children they so ardently fought to save.

If I never wanted kids, I would also consider getting the vascestomy.
I have 3 kids now, and I will be getting that done. It's easier for me than the wife.

It comes in handy too when you start a business together, or buy a house, or save the hassle from ex-partners...
Kids are not the only reason people marry for...

Hell, who is gonna decide WHY I want to get married??
What an arrogance! It is none of anyones business why I want to get married or not!

Why do you need a marriage to raise kids together? Who is anyone to tell me why I should get married or not? Why can't my marriage break down over something that might or might not have to do with having kids? Why would I only be married if I had the intention to raise children? Who is gonna check?

If I choose to get married, that is MY (and my partners) decision only. Hell, next time I know someone (besides my partner ) is gonna tell me what I can or can't do in my bedroom! 8O 8O

You are only 1 in 5% of men that feels that way.

I never use condoms because I want my wife to have the freedom and choice to do what she wants with her body.

Look at all the good things that can happen to the lovely person that decides to have an abortion. too bad we can't have them all happen at the same time :-)

ie:

Incomplete Abortion - Some fetal parts may be mistakenly left inside after the abortion. Bleeding and infection may result.

ah too bad

You know the funny part about this whole issue?

The people who are against abortion think that the people who are pro-choice think that it is an "easy solution" that we "just do out of convenience". Reality? The pro-choice people KNOW it is not an easy thing. The anti-abortion people however keep accusing them of thinking it.

That can also happen during a miscarriage Hwacker.

ah

A 1994 study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute found: “Among women who had been pregnant at least once, the risk of breast cancer in those who had experienced an induced abortion was 50% higher than among other women.”

maybe that's Gods way of saying fuck you.
