I know that the Conservative government neither wants to take a soft stand or hard stand on abortion because that was their political promise in the last election.

Considering the Liberal party is not all pro-choice and some Liberals oppose abortion but the NDP is almost all pro-choice which party is more likely to have been involved.

That the rules and regulations suck is not his doing, he provides a service. A service that is needed, obviously. Making abortions illegal will not result in less abortions.

In fact I bet we can find loads of reasons for many award winners to have not received their awards based on some segment of the population who disagrees with them.
