OK, its time for the media to STFU and cover other stories until they actually have someting true to report. There's nothing new to report here but this story has totally eclipsed all other news coverage with it's non-news coverage.
The current "BREAKING NEWS!!!!" is that there is no news. Seriously. "Breaking news to you this hour, we can confirm that nothing has happened. Earlier reports indicated that something has happened but we can now confirm to you that these are incorrect. We now go live to the scene of nothing happening for 15 minutes of in-depth analysis of the non-event"
And last night, I shit you not, the following:
(after 3 different stories interviewing witnesses, friends/family of victims, freinds/family of other witnesses) the following stories (no joke here):
1) "Stay tuned for yet another witness account from yet another person who was there that day, but this witness... is blind." (No I'm not joking).
2) An interview with Toronto joggers, for their 'unique' insight on the bombing: "its like losing a member of your family" said one jogger. Ummm no...losing a member of your family is like losing a member of your family. Total strangers in another country who have absolutely no contact and nothing in common with you is not "like losing a member of family". The fact some of them do the same kind of exercise as you (or watch others do the same exercise as you)does not mean you have anything unique to tell us from your "perspective". "If I ever manage to qualify for the marathon, I will go, I'm not afraid, we can't show fear" boasted another jogging idiot.
3) " UP NEXT: The heart-felt REUNION" of two COUSINS who, after the bombing, didn't see each other until THE VERY NEXT DAY (spoiler: they were in touch the whole time, just didn't 'see' each other).
EDIT: I am not trying to make light of tragedy, rather comment on TV news' coverage of it.
