Just out of curiosity, how can you use this to support your argument when it proves the action was the wrong one (not one guilty of anything) and we've spent decades issuing public apologies for detaining them and building monuments to remind us?
Isn't that the strongest example of why we should NOT single out one group?
I don't agree that the action in WW2 was entirely wrong. Given the resources and techniques of the time I'd say it was the best they could do.
After the initial detentions it is noted that many Japanese, German, and Italian detainees were eventually released. Many of them chose to serve their new country in critical capacities, too.
After they were properly vetted. I'll concede this much: If after a diligent examination by skilled professionals it's determined that a Muslim (refugee, student, immigrant, etc.) poses no threat to the USA then I'd accept their entry into our society.
Right now this is not happening. To the contrary, the mere suggestion of doing this is being denounced as racist.
