Oh look something written by an employee of an Israeli research firm is critical of the Palestinian government.

And just look at the timing. I'm sure it has no relation to the current military action in Gaza and Israel. Just an honest bit of journalism that happened to be published in the middle of round the clock air strikes on civilian targets in Gaza by the IDF.

Hey. what are you doing? You're not supposed to look past the headlines and reason for yourself. You're on the Tea Parties hit list now mister.

Reason? You're kidding right?

This little tidbit was all I needed from shortbus,

round the clock air strikes on civilian targets

Air strikes and naval gunfire has been used at all times of the day and night. The numbers of people killed confirm that the IDF has been shooting at and killing civilians, unless you think 5 year olds are terrorist combatants rather than civilians. Or maybe that children playing soccer on a beach are valid military targets.

My statement was factually correct, although intended to be a condemnation and I did leave out that it's possible Israel has managed to kill some combatants.

Hamas would never be accused of War Crimes nevermind the fact they've turned down a cease fire, broke the cease fire agreement for humanitarian needs and were caught hidhing weapons in a UN run school in Gaza, such hypocroisy.

You'll have to be more specific. Do you mean the actual writer, or are you calling Ynet an Israeli research firm?

YNet is Israel's most read newspaper.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ynetnews

It's current editor used to be the editor of Haaretz. I notice anti-Israel types who demagogue the mainstream Israeli media often find it acceptable to post opinion pieces from the Hamas friendly Haaretz as black and white fact.

Another example of mainstream Jewish press is the New York based Algemeiner.

Here's a quote from a recent post concerning how the Arab world appears to be turning on Hamas. (Actually it's from the blog section of Algemeiner's website, but for today's purpose this doesn't matter) The author is quoting an Egyptian journalist.

$1:
“[Meshaal], we are tired of defending the [Palestinian] cause that you have sold for cheap to an MB (Muslim Brotherhood) gang whose way you followed even though they have lost their [own] way,” wrote columnist Hamdi Razaq. He also called Meshaal out for living in luxurious Qatari hotels instead of fighting in Gaza.

http://www.algemeiner.com/2014/07/17/ar ... ith-hamas/

But ultimately, is the Hamas leadership raking in dough while its people live in poverty? Did Yassar Arrafat die rich? Is Meshaal living the high life in Qatar while his people suffer the misery of a war he instigated with rocket fire?

If you have evidence none of that is true, please present it. I'll accept Haaretz. If you have no evidence, what have you got?

Yep the writer.

$1:

My statement is that the article is propaganda. Given that the article has no sources to check, I can't investigate if what the author said was true or not.

'Reliable sources' was used as proof.

Well reliable sources tell me that Jews are hatched from eggs.
What's that you don't believe me with my reliable source? Ok I'll admit I heard it from Borat Sagdiyev an employee of the Kazakh Ministry of Information.
~
I've noticed that many people just don't have any suspicion when it comes to picking out propaganda, so I figured I would point it out.

Everything said might be true, but even a statement that sticks to 100% of the truth can be highly misleading. If having someone point out that what you're reading is likely highly biased reporting, and you dash to defend it. I think you might want to take a step back and look at things again to be sure your viewing things objectively.

Ah, I see. So when you say "Oh look something written by an employee of an Israeli research firm is critical of the Palestinian government," you are referring to writer Doron Peskin's employment as head of research at Info-Prod Research.

So here's what Info-prod does.

$1:
Info-Prod Research (Middle East) Ltd. is an Israeli firm that provides market surveys and consultancy services regarding the Arab markets and Israel. It has been credited for the signing of many joint ventures throughout the Middle East and North Africa, particularly between Israel and the Arab world

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Info_Prod_Research

Now, I'm not sure why that scares you. In fact wouldn't such a researcher be exactly who you'd go to if you wanted to follow the money? To a certain extent he is the source. I wouldn't have a problem seeing BBC or even the Guardian interviewing him on economic matters within the region.

And he does reference sources such as Egyptian or Jordanian media. When he suggests Ayman Taha as the money mover for Hamas, well I can give you a link, but mainstream media articles almost never do. Are they all "propaganda"? Very well, who do you believe then? And why them?

Quick Xort, you have to get to Wikipedia to make a complaint.

They're referencing the very article you're demagoguing as propaganda, but they're calling it a legitimate source. #21

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayman_Taha

Those pro-Israel bastards  (if you've ever actually been to Wikipedia for info on this issue you know that's a joke, right.)

Hamas has a habit of mixing with the civilian population. Israel has made it a habit of warning civilians before bombing. Hardly targeting civilians.

No, your statement was not "factually" correct, it was an outright lie.

I guess the kids on the beach missed the leaflet drop?

Using our enemies tactics to justify our means is about as good as sign as any that our culture has lost the war.

hmmmmm, let me really think about this for a minute................................

Violence, again.

Air strikes, artillery coming down in Gaza.

Oh wait, here's a really good idea; let's send our kids to the beach !!!

I guess the parents missed their brains.

Oh, btw, ground invasion has started. More wailing and gnashing of teeth to come.

Hamas has fired 1300 rockets so far.
