OnTheIce OnTheIce: sandorski sandorski: Have I condoned them? News to me.
When you say we haven't proven anything to you, you're brushing off his actions as being nothing....as in condoning his actions as being nothing to worry about. Of course the two guys aren't on par, Marchand has skill,a Stanley Cup ring on his finger and gets points. Marchand: 32 points in 37 games. +27Lapierre: 9 points in 45 games. -5 (On the best team in the West) No, Marchand is the dirtiest player in the history of the game but Lapierre is just "gritty". Obviously just a little sarcastic.

2Cdo 2Cdo: QBC QBC: Oh, I see Bruins fans are defending Marchand by pointing fingers at another player. The old, "Others did bad things too, so he's allowed" defence...... Irregardless of what any other player has done in the NHL in the last 100 years, Marchand did a gutless, chickenshit and dirty play with the sole intent to injure. He should be done for the season because of it and his past performances. Marchand is a gutless piece of shit with little man syndrome. The only reason he hasn't got his ass beat into a hospital bed is he plays for a team with a bunch of big guys to defend him. I can think of several NHL'ers, that includes Lapierre, that should have faced very long suspensions for their bullshit. The NHL need to give out some real suspensions, like a full season ban, to put a stop to cowardly plays like Marchands. And as a Bruin fan I think he deserved his suspension. Unlike some Vancouver fans when presented with dirty shots that were as bad or worse than Marchands, keep defending Lapierre. If you honestly believe that Marchands "hit" was worth a season long suspension, wow. That wasn't a hit, it was a deliberate attempt to injure.

I don't think it's that. It's his instance that that Lapierre is nothing like Marchand, when he is just like him just with a lot less skill. Yet the first thing out of a Bruins fans mouth on this thread was..... $1: And Lapierre continues to run around flapping his gums and jumping guys from behind Not that what Marchand did was wrong, or even defending Marchands actions, just..." LOOK, LOOK, LOOK what he did!!!!!!!"

As was every example on video in this thread with Lapierre. I know you don't condone him, but some other Canucks fans seem to think his actions were not serious. I do agree with you that there is a lack of respect in the league and that Marchand can be guilty at times, but Lapierres track record is even worse.

And the first Canuck comment on Lapierres attempt to injure was "that was barely a push". Both sides guilty.

sandorski sandorski: No one has presented anything close to what Marchand has done. Indeed Of course, those shoves into the boards from behind at full speed weren't meant to injure. You truly don't have a f*cking clue. Probably never played the game either.

sandorski sandorski: No one has presented anything close to what Marchand has done. Indeed Clearly, you've never played the game. It's a still-motion hip-check called clipping. Hip checks have been in the game and celebrated. Do you complain when someone hip checks someone? It's just as dangerous and brutal on the head and knees. If you think ramming someone into the boards from behind isn't as dangerous as clipping, you're talking out your ass. He's another Canuck hip checking another player: And another on Lucic: (notice the Canuck player turtle like a chiken-shit)

Only three years in the league and fined or suspended by the league three times. Yep, Marchand is doing well.
