sandorski sandorski: Gunnair Gunnair: sandorski sandorski: Probably hours since the last Overdose in the City. Yup, the Camp is to blame!!! Let's say the camp is not to blame. Curious though that the "left leaning" MSM is focusing on the drug use, the deaths, and all the other bad things going on there and not the loose collection of personal complaints. Fact is, whether you conveniently wish to ignore this or not, if this movement is going to have any credibility at its grass roots then it needs to police itself lest the police need to do it for them. Sorry, you want anarchy, do it elsewhere. Wut? Is this unique to this location? No. Dodge. Okay then...

$1: Mayor says woman's death means Occupy Vancouver must be shut down http://ca.news.yahoo.com/person-occupy-vancouver-camp-dies-saturday-police-013824991.htmlYep, I agree. And if the protesters were smart and serious they would just come back to the VAG every day, go home and sleep at night, just like the Howe St boys. Better yet, do some marching the way the Oakland people did - start a new Critical Mass movement.

March? That's too much like work!!! A dozen masked people in black, with pack sacks have shown up. Shit's about to fly over clearing them out. They also apologize on Facebook for using "Indian land",fuck 'em. Ask one of the Chiefs to bring his boys with baseball bats and ask them to leave. They've lost their whole point, it's time to go home.

The Indians are too busy doing their own protest in front of the Opal commission at at the Catholic church (no Catholic church on stolen Indian Land!) If they're going to apologize about using Indian land, they better go home all the way to Europe. But I hope the impetus isn't lost and people do some more peaceful protesting - just in a different way. We marched in the '60's and didn't find it too much work. All the way into Blaine one time and took their flag.

Everything must be under control. Safety is first of all, I know that is sounds strange but government have to support things like that by better medical care.

PostFactum PostFactum: Everything must be under control. Safety is first of all, I know that is sounds strange but government have to support things like that by better medical care. Why? There is a medic at the site and they can always call 911. Do you have a hospital or a 24/7 doctor around? I don't, unless you call the ER that... But that is 20 minutes away. Maybe they should keep the drugs away from their protest site.

That would mean every campground should have their own cop and hospital. Not gonna happen. I was talking about the time it takes me to drive to the local hospital... Waiting time varies from a few minutes to several hours.

Not gonna happen. I propose patrols, who will be walking between the tents. Yes, more money, but it will justify itself.

People die of drug overdoses on a daily basis. What is so special about this camp out?
