And EVERYONE who has EVER been in my home(s), invited or not, were 'outside before they came inside'!
I prefer to think of my methods as 'preventative maintenance'!

And you think if they know what you might do they will just stop robbing houses? Why? Because B&Es are lower per capital in the USA where you can shoot them with howitzers? Ummm...it's not lower. The perps just show up with their own guns and shoot you first.

Think! No!

I'm damn sure that if a 'perp' knows what I 'might do' he's not too likely to rob my house. BUT, If, he decides to try to rob my home inspite of knowing what I might do,I guarantee that my home will be the last one he will ever try to rob!

Does anyone remember a few years back when there was a helicopter pilot who basically kidnapped and hung the perp who stole his ATV out the side of his chopper until he fessed up on where he hid it? I can't seem to find anything about it on the web. I think it happened out by Whitecourt AB.

I recall that one really well, because my SiL was an apprentice helicopter mechanic for the Eric (Airborn Helicopters)at the time. In fact, I'm proud to say that I shook the man's hand, told him how much I admired him for what he did. We had a good laugh over it. I still have the company ball cap he gave me! I'll find a link to the story in a bit.

That case just of sticks out in my mind. A lot of people considered him a hero for doing what he did. Mind you no one died.

Strangely enough one of the guys who works for me just went through this about half a year ago. He didn't kill anyone but he is being charged with assault with a weapon or something to that effect. He said the worst thing about the whole thing is that he's had to endure being detained, charged and sued while the guy he caught stealing basically was out walking around the next day with a court date that still hasn't come to be.

Can’t say that I’m in support of killing anyone but the laws sure seem kind of screwed in these kind of circumstances. There should be some consideration given to the accused when it's a case of defending ones own property or life.

Naw, most of the story you got is 'fokelore' ( or wishful thinking)! True, Eric did take the dickwad up and threaten to toss his sorry ass out, but he landed the chopper, tied the guy to a tree, dumped bacon grease all over him and told him he was going to be eaten by bears.
