It's a fair point. I wouldn't be too happy at losing a days pay for it.



You view it as losing a days pay, whereas myself, and others, view it as 'because of 'November 11th', we can move about freely in 'our world' in peace, and go to work the other 364 days of the year if we so choose!

Government employees in Manitoba get paid for Remembrance day. I get paid for it. Many people get paid for it. For some reason only certain people are asked to make that sacrifice in order to remember.

No, while it is a common practice for employers to pay employees who do not work on Remembrance Day, they are not required to.
