Oh, I've got some 40 courses under my belt and some very expensive to one and all on the job training - and this is discounted to nothing. It's not recyclable, transferable, say to a lower paying job?

Come to think of it, how many Economics undergraduates go on to a career in economics? The guy that I get gas from in my job as courier graduated in Economics not so long ago. He's still pumping gas. (Takes another sip)

Very few. Most go to work for banks and call themselves economists, but really aren't. But a degree is just a piece of lambskin (put down the Jergens and Kleenex, Shep). Any idiot willing to forego 4 years salary can get a degree. A degree, regardless of major, doesn't get you much more than a job interview. After that, it means shit. It's a real sham we're selling teenagers, that a degree in whatever will get you a $100K/yr job the day you graduate.

But it's good to know your gas-dude interviews well for running-credit-cards and sitting-on-your-ass kinda jobs. At least his econ professors can be proud of that. [B-o]
