Very few. Most go to work for banks and call themselves economists, but really aren't. But a degree is just a piece of lambskin (put down the Jergens and Kleenex, Shep). Any idiot willing to forego 4 years salary can get a degree. A degree, regardless of major, doesn't get you much more than a job interview. After that, it means shit. It's a real sham we're selling teenagers, that a degree in whatever will get you a $100K/yr job the day you graduate.
But it's good to know your gas-dude interviews well for running-credit-cards and sitting-on-your-ass kinda jobs. At least his econ professors can be proud of that.
