tritium tritium: I have never scene a more emasculate culture that they have to demean and degrade women because they are afraid to compete on an equal footing.
50 years ago, women were not allowed to vote, had to quit their jobs to serve their man when they got married, etc, etc, and don't let me start about 500 years ago. I agree that in our modern western world, it doesn't fit, but not too long ago, bra's were burnt here too to fight for women's rights. Don't fool yourself. We are not holier than them, just more evolved $1: Muslim groups want this Koran Burning considered a hate crime and charges laid if they go ahead with the Koran burning. Actually, so do I.

Just because you can do something, doesn't always mean you should. This is where common sense and tact comes into play.

Where was this?? Canadian women started to vote at a municipal level in 1884 in Ontario, and their rights progressed, so that by 1919, all women who had reached the age of majority were allowed to vote. I have to add that the right to vote was only extended to all Canadian men(natives were excluded being wards of the state) just after WW1

Progress is a wonderful thing. The bookburners and beheaders would like to see the clocks turned back several centuries.

I hate what they are doing, but they have a right to be stupid.

Gunnair Gunnair: kenmore kenmore: I think things like this is just going too far. It causes more hatred than anything else. And for a so called Christian group to be doing it makes it totally wrong! Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We agree! I have been feeling like this all month, half the time when I see kenmore post now it either is my view or reflects something close to it (the other half is normal complete disagreement)

If a bunch of Atheists showed up with Bibles to burn, I'd LOL.

Nor would I if Muslims did that. There are a few things sacred. One of them is the Holy Book people like to believe in. Another one is a country's flag. You just don't touch that.

But the irony would simply be too delicious not to enjoy. Especially if the Baptists got really really mad about it.

Actually the true believer Muslims, would never burn the bible. since they also accept it as the word of God, and Jesus as his prophet.

Most of that is true, The Muslims believe in the Injeel the book given to Prophet Essa or Jesus, but down the line men have manipulated it to suit their own needs. But among the manipulated text there could/is the original message of God in it. Same with Prophet Abraham and the Torah. And not just that the Quran instructs not to mock or disrepect other religions anyways. I'm sure the Bible and Torah does that too but wheter Muslims, Christians or Jews follow that is another story altoghter.
