I wonder how many out there know how to make a crystal radio.....thats definitely a MacGuyver project that uses real science.

I remember doing that in 3rd grade (1973). Shoot, that was so cool to hook up the radio to a wire fence (for an antenna) and then hear radio stations with no batteries. The teacher had us use a piece of plywood for the mounting board and we used an old school earphone to listen to it.
