Last I checked, guns beat rocks. Shoot the fucking troublemakers. Having rocks thrown at you should permit self-defence.

The sooner Hudak comes to power provicially, the sooner shit like this ends.

Yea, shooting people always works out well. We could hang them all or send them to a desert island eh?

Please. Lets have a discussion on the issue without silly and far fetched 'solutions'.

So no exiling to Baffin Island?

You can't really blame the OPP. They will get zero support from McGuinty so why put their necks out.

Ipperwash.

Was the Ipperwash inquiry already under McSquinty's watch? Certainly Ipperwash itself happened before him, right? But more recently look at Caledonia - Farrantino (sp?) himself seemed to support the natives over the 2nd nations - so it's not just McSquinty but the police brass that doesn't support the ocifers.

They're already exiled. The just remove the guards, and let them manage their own Nation. No foreign aid tho.

Yea andy. You have looked into this subject so well again.

Really, it's getting to the stage where replying to you is a wasted effort. Go and research these things properly.

That means leaving your computer. You can't wiki everything.

What exactly are you saying? I went by memory of the Ipperwash thing and was asking the question. I thought maybe even you, the expert, would be able to give the answer, and maybe even keep the sarcasm down a bit. I'm sure a computer search would give me the answer, why would I need to leave it?

You talked about not contributing anything. Exactly what did your post contribute?

i do understand some of the political issues however, laws are laws regardless of what politician, party or popular support is current in the province. Like I said, if that was a white community there would be hell to pay. I expect police to treat people equally under the law. I even see where some groups may get greater latitude and I understand that however, this is just not acceptable and in my opinion things like this violate the oath police take.

No, I am not here to force feed you things you should know or find out yourself to take a credible part in a discussion.

The answers to everything are not on the internet. Some times you have to get off your arse and experience things yourself.

I wasn't being sarcastic.

I kind of agree but the Constable's oath doesn't preclude following lawful orders.
They left under such orders.

The rank and file of the OPP are probably as frustrated as any other citizen with Caledonia et al.

Ipperwash was a lesson to all cops, including the Commissioner of the OPP. It said that politics trumps common sense and the laws of Canada.

The OPP were made scapegoats at Ipperwash and that was a lesson well learned by the police brass in Ontario. As in don’t enforce the laws of the land if it interferes with politically sensitive issues.

First Nations, Tamils running on the Gardner, telling people they can’t smash windows in Toronto during the G20, the list goes on.

No Canadian politician has the balls to stand up to the First Nations or any other agitator so why would any cop not heed those lessons learned the hard way?

Discussions only seem to go so far, Brock. I'm sick and tired of always hearing about some group of sboriginals seemingly doing whatever the hell they want, getting federal money, then complaining and milking the system some more, and getting away with everything. Enough is enough! The government needs to stop taking it up the ass and deal with issues like this latest development in a whole new way.

It's almost a guarantee diplomacy will fail with these people. If they start throwing rocks, break out the rubber bulets and riot gear, shoot them, beat them, and put their asses in prison like what would happen to anyone else.

Police is a service, like water electricity and education.

If they don't want it maybe they don't need it.

But I hate to think what might happen in the months and years before they ask for police again.

But just like you can't force medicate a patient. Just like that man with the head wound seething with infection has every right to not seek treatment.

But it isn't just one person it's a couple thousand people and they can't just hit the road and go to Toronto if things go south. They'd be trapped like rats in a bucket of rats.

This is the Native conundrum all over. Leave them alone and let them die or try to help and make things worse.

No...they need to police themselves. Eventually, the majority of people there, who are law abiding will get sick of the monkey shit and take matters into their own hands.

The only way they'll ever police themselves is if they're made to by the protracted absence of a real police force.

Until that happens they're going to have the perfect scapegoat to use for every ill that happens on their reserve and the sad part of it is that they're to wrapped up in the poor me syndrome to see it.
