The best way to nullify Al-Qaeda's propaganda would be to allow this community centre/mosque to go ahead then. What better way to counter bin Laden's message that the West constantly opresses Muslims than to allow this to be built.

I'm not against the "basic" idea. But I'm quite sure it will be used as propaganda from the Islamists. That's the problem.
