Double Standards, hypocrisy are a few words come to mind ? Terrorist organisations like the FLQ have more attacks on Canadian soil than any loony muslim cult or organisation. Some even calling for independence from Canada. French is a national language yet majority of Canadians can't speak it. And a french only person would have difficulties living outside of Quebec. Somehow I don't see how this is intregration yet no one really has any problems with it. Why can't the same courtesy been show on the other side aswell. Muslims make up around only 2% of the Canadian population and yet the amount of hatred spewed here ........!!!

I agree with you, lately if anyone on here brings up a topic where the discussion is about Quebecois Canadian pride, the offending poster is called either a raciest or a troll. No discussion will happen, just yelling "Your wrong, Troll!" I dont know about you, but to me thats not a counter argument.

Some people out there dont give desertdude the respect of a civil conversation; my assumption is because he isnt Canadian and a Muslim. While he might not get it right all the time, he makes some good observations that I think are worth acknowledging.

It was the first time I saw his posts and has only 135 posts and negative feedbacks. His posts on this thread seem to show that he looks for confrontation which in my book means trolling.

And there is one point you miss.. Canadians don't have problems with joking about themselves or others doing it.. we laugh at the regional differences, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Newfoundlanders, Québecers, Anglais, etc . we even see jokes about Jesus, the Blessed Virgin and sometimes God... and nobody gets beheaded.
