Which is exactly what I am saying. If I take on Canadian Citizenship, I lose my Dutch one. Has nothing to do with Canada, but with the fact that The Netherlands doesn't allow dual citizenship.
Maybe now, but now Canada does allow it, you don't have to renounce other ones. At one time you did, Canada made you renounce your previous citizenship, except as I say British or possibly all Commonwealth countries.
What don't you understand?
I WILL HAVE TO RENOUNCE MY DUTCH CITIZENSHIP WHEN I BECOME CANADIAN, BECAUSE THE NETHERLANDS DOES NOT ALLOW DUAL-CITIZENSHIP FOR IT'S CITIZENS. It means that Moroccan immigrants to the Netherlands will always be dual, because Morocco does not allow it's citizens to renounce their Moroccan citizenship. The Turks can choose, because Turkey allows you to choose.
It has NOTHING to do with Canada. Never has either.
