I saw the video on the news last night. She assaulted and injured the Cop. If some broad attacked me, I'd give her a 'shot in the snoot' too. And proly a 'kick in the box' for good measure!

I don't buy this. I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, and avoiding cops was due to being constantly hassled by them, not because we had outstanding warrants or anything to hide.

This is not about avoiding cops, this is about having a physical confrontation with a cop. I certainly won't fault anyone for avoiding cops as that is their right, but having a wrestling match with a cop is an invitation to problems.

In my old neighbourhood, avoiding cops was grounds for a shake-up. They didn't like it. As for physical confrontations, I had my share of those too--and I've gotr the scars to prove it. However I did learn my lessons well: you will never win in a fight with the cops. Same with bouncers. Learned pretty young just to leave my beer and walk out when asked.

I knew a guy in high school who used to rabbit at the sight of a cop just for the pure hell of it. They'd eventually catch up with him and they'd ask why he ran and he'd ask why they chased him and they'd say it was because he ran and then he'd ask if they wanted another go.

Exactly. You will never win a fight with a cop and a smart person knows not to start one to begin with.

I must be smarter than you, I learned after the one and only time I thought I could fight, and win, against the police! 8)
Remember that the police carry clubs, pepper spray and guns. But the most dangerous thing they carry is a radio to call more police with more clubs, more spray and more guns! 8O

Last time I got pulled over for speeding to Montreal.
The cop comes over with 160 speeding ticket as he handed it to me he said " I could of deducted 3 points off your drivers license but only took 2 off"

And that's how I explain it to young troops BEFORE they go out and get pissed on a Friday night! 8)

I may have learned my lesson after the first time, but it was an awful painful first time. [drool]

I had a similar thing happen to me.
He: "You were speeding"
Me: "I know, officer, and I am sorry I got caught"
he (laughing) "you smartass. You were going 84 in a 60 zone, but I will get you the lower one"
Me: "Thanks so much officer, have a great day!" (relieved I wasnt on my cell also)

Jfyi, 60 is the max highway speed here :?

I ran with the bikers way back when and we'd get into it with the army boys at the Grant Hotel in Winnipeg about once a month. Epic brawls. Eventually the city passed a law banning 25 cent draught beers. Good times.

Funny that, by the mid 90's it was usually bikers and army guys hanging together and f*ck everyone else!

Then they turned the Grant into a sports bar, and all the fun stopped. :(
