It may be 2010 but it's still the same old HST and all the Conservatives are doing is implementing Paul Martins vision for screwing all Canadian equally.

The real aim of all this bullshite isn't about increasing revenue or streamlining the tax system it's about breaking up the Provincial boundries and making Canada a single tax entity with an omnipotent Government in Ottawa.

Any Province stupid enough to allow their elected officials to sell out to Ottawa for a measly billion or so dollars will get what they deserve, likely, in cut transfer payments, increased HST costs and no ability to stop it.

I agree totally.

I knew we'd get on the same page eventually.

Create a slew of new taxes (or call them what you want) which lowers the effectiveness of the CPP people get, so to counteract this raise the amount of a tax / "deductions from my income of some form."

Wasn't CPP supposed to cover the generation paying into it? well then I'd prefer the money so I could invest it myself and get more than I am going to when I retire in way too long from now, which will likely be $0

I wonder where they could have saved half a billion dollars to invest into CPP? "G" I'm stuck.

I'll button hole the customers at work for a one minute discussion. I'll ask them for their best line about politics. It works. Mostly everybody has some good line.
