If they are REALLY sorry about it, I'd like to see Mazda Canada sue the people involved, then give a NICE portion of the proceeds to this poor woman.

Lemmy Lemmy: Brenda Brenda: She came in for new tires, not for a car. So? When I go to the grocery store for milk, I don't leave with $5000 worth of groceries I can't afford. She agreed to buy a $40K+ car. If she can afford ANY new car, why the hell is she on the brown envelope? She is mentally challenged, sorta like you right now hammering on this issue. Her brain is not wired the same as you and me, so she is probably easily confused or coerced into an action most of use would not ordinarily do.

Brenda Brenda: kitty kitty: Ahhh, they listened to me Now did she get her old car back too? $1: Bains promises to reimburse Leonard $8,000 the dealership paid for her trade-in once Leonard returns the car.
Sounds like her car was already sold. As we know the trade-in price has little to do with the actual value of the car. She should claim her car was worth more and demand a top up. Better yet, apply the money to a new car at true dealer cost, one she can afford.

QBall QBall: Some people shouldn't leave their home. They're just not equipped to deal with society. You're referring to the sleezeball salesman and business manager, right? These goofs took advantage of someone to the tune of over $60,000 for a demo! And let me guess, you've never paid too much for a car? Riiigt.

What's even more interesting in the updates to the story is that the two fired chaps are planning on pleading not guilty.
The facts are so heinous that these two will assuredly have to take the stand to defend themselves and then it all rolls downhill from there.
If anybody's looking for a new Mazda, now is the time to go to Orangeville Mazda...they'll pretty much have to give you a coupon for 30 free handjobs on top of your $13,000 CX-7 to keep from being run out of town.

Did this broad ever hear of something called buyers remorse Then again, we are talking about Ontario, - the level of stupidity is astounding.

Apparently neither you or the 2 idiots in question never heard of the Consumer Protection Act.
But then again, I'm guessing by your comment that you and the woman in the article have something in common.

This wasn't buyer's remorse, it was a gouging by sleezeballs..but hey, i guess OMVIC, CPA and even Orangreville Mazda are all wrong and you're right? And you're commenting on our alleged stupidity? How cute.

True...and i love the naive ones that claim they don't. In response to the article, every car purchaser gets somewhat taken...it's managing how much is the tricky part. This poor women was taken advantage by unscrupulous idiots and good luck to Orangeville Mazda in trying to restore its rep in the interim.
