It's patriotic in the sense that there is no bias, just patriotism.

So next people will be demanding to change all the references to "God" in the anthem to be religion neutral. And better make the official anthem bilingual. There was no public outcry for this, I've never heard of anyone demanding this. It's just a distraction tactic by Harper to remove focus from real issues and cuts to social programs. Harper & the Conservatives don't give a shit about gender neutrality and women's rights, they have cut programs and trampled all over them. This is just a cheap trick to try and win some brownie points. But it will piss of far more people than it appeases.

Changing a national anthem is something to do carefully, not some whim.

If more Moslems cme over you will need to change "God" to "Allah" It's not as far fetched as it sounds; although in that case I would expect somebody to tell them to go to H#ll and kick them out.

This just looks like a slick idea to demonstate how "sensitive we are", but it does nothing except showing how supeficial you are.
