Patish Patish:
We have special staff at border/airport, they ask you some kind of questions and look at your reaction. You and your luggage will be checked according to their decision. No one intimidate you.

Never look to the left when asked a question. It'suppose to indicate deception, touching, scratching the face as well.

Usefull when playing poker.

^Yep. Also when you pull up you should take off your sunglasses. And don't drag on your answers, stay brief and to the point.

If you don't have hotel reservations just say you are staying at a "Holiday Inn Express" (I think TG gave me that tip) and it helped out my last time :D

Does nobody have a problem with the fact that these guys are shooting first and asking questions later? IT WAS A MOOSE! What did he think he was shooting at? That is a rather large animal and does not look anything like a man. This begs the further question. Even if it was a person, why did he discharge his weapon before trying to use judgment in the situation.

From the story
$1:
"The drawing, pointing and discharge of the duty firearm by officer ... was justified," the review concluded.

A spokeswoman said all procedures worked as intended.

WHAT? I guess the Moose chose not respond when accosted by the Border Officer. That'll show the indigenous wildlife to respect the Canadian\US Border.

Definitely, especially if you are a seven year old boy sitting in the backseat. 8O I mean he could have been on their Top Ten most wanted list and me and mom were just his hostages to aid in his escape from Canada.

They euthanized an animal that was suffering, like any other compassionate person would...or should.

EyeBrock EyeBrock:
US Border Guards are rude dickheads. Never had a good experience with them, ever.

I had one nice guy once out of all the many times I've crossed. It was at Niagara Falls and we were four friends in two cars. Our car passed through a line with a really friendly gentleman as a guard. Our friends passed through the queue beside us and had a serious dickhead.

Other than that, every US customs experience I've had has been unpleasant. Always rude and purposefully intimidating.

On the other hand, I've never had a Canadian guard who was downright rude. Some were not necessarily what I would call amical, but none of them were dickheads and many of them have actually been really nice.

My mistake I re-read the story. I thought the initial wounding of the animal was the fault of the Border Guard. In this case it was a justified shooting. I now correctly offer kudos in doing the right thing.
