I just wish some of our Aboriginals could have had the chance to take the stage at the NAC, sit in a circle and beat their drums.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for a melody!

bootlegga bootlegga:
Yeah, there's nothing on that list that might help people understand current events is there...oh wait, there's several books and articles on terror, failed states, etc.

Sorry, that far more worthy of a PM than being able to play the piano.

And becoming Prime Minister of Canada could be considered more impressive than being a writer or musician.

Harper = Check
Iggy = :cry:

You're correct about being PM being far more impressive than being an author or musician. Only time will tell with Iggy.

I'm wondering when Iffy's going to cross the floor to the Conservatives. From the titles of many of those articles, I'd say he'd be a better fit.

Well, he's definitely much closer to the centre than Dion ever was, and if I may say so, much closer to the St.Laurent/Pearsonian Liberals than the current crop of Trudeau wannabes (which are the Liberals I identify with, not the current bunch of lefties). That's why I'd be willing to vote for the guy (because he isn't like most of the Liberals in office now). The only question is whether or not Canadians want that in a leader.

He's the one guy who could get the Liberals back in the PMO. Justin Trudeau sure as hell won't. Dion showed how disasterous it was to move left, as all it did was split votes with the NDP.

If Iggy fails, then the Liberals might as well pack up and go home, because they'll be just as dead as the PCs and Reform Party are.

"Anything you can go, I can do better.
I can do anything better than you.. "

He's mouthing the words but he's definately not ready for prime time.

Do we want Iggy though? He seems to be the reason the liberals are sliding. The CPC might be better off not having that cinderblock tied to it.

DR, mmmm. It's a prospect as unlikely as Gille Duceppe crossing the floor and being the new Lib LT.
