The BNP are getting stronger and that isn't a good thing.
They also have another mainstream bunch of idiots over there called the 'English Defence League'.

Traditionally Brits have ignored the far right but the extremism of many of the East Indian communities in places like Manchester, Oldham, Bradford, Leeds, Birmingham etc have drawn in new members from the political middle ground.

Extremism breeds and extreme response. When I was back in 2007 I noticed a huge amount of Burka clad females in Manchester. It was perceived more as a statement from the East Indian communities to say “We don’t want to fit in” than a religious requirement.
We all know that the Quran says ‘dress modestly’ not wear a bag over your body.
This kind of stuff has polarised the Muslims and the ethnic Brits.

It's not a good scenario and reminds me of Germany during the Weimar Republic.

I don't mean from the Jewish point of view. The German Jews couldn't be more different than the East Indians in the UK. The Jews fought for Germany and took a low religious profile. They were Germans.

No, I mean from a point of view where the country was experiencing great unrest.
Weak governments, institutions such as the police and the military degrading daily.
Splintered political parties and portions of society undermining traditional values.

Which begs the question, why is being opposed to gay marriage "anti-gay"? I'd rather just have civil unions and leave marriages to the various churches, temples, mosques, whatever else.
