I think it is dumb. really i mean if toronto's citizens have such a fragile ego to make a big deal about this... vancouverites are always made fun of as pot-smoking hippies, we just kind of laugh about it

that was not a smart ad campaign for Coors.

Everyone knows that Jesus Christ is from Toronto.

I remember on Global last night they had a few quotes from people from Toronto who were all offended and PO'd.... I guess the billboard was right, since they couldn't take a joke XD

But they did bring up a good point about local advertisement no longer being the same as it used to be before the internet, since in the past, things like this would normally not even be seen by many outside of BC, or even outside of the town, thus wouldn't have even been an issue like it is now.

Now it's not so easy to get away with this sorta of thing.

But I guess the big deal over this was that Coor's largest market IS Toronto and they could end up shooting themselves in their own damn foot over this.

But so what if people in Toronto are Cold?

Somebody's gotta be.

But doesn't it also say something that Toronto is Coors' biggest market in Canada?

That billboard got attention and that's the purpose of advertising. They could have run a whole national campaign on that by running ads in Ontario slagging BC. By bouncing it back and forth, they could have kept people watching for weeks.
,,, but no.. Someone had to wimp out.

Toronto: Their the reason why we can't have anything nice in this country!

My beer fridge has some Coors Light in it, and the ad is correct as far as I can tell.
So before it's removed [BB]

Actually it just occured to me, when I've been in Toronto, trying to drive anywhere, get out of your car, cross the street, basically try to move anywhere, chances are you're going to get run over, as in three days I had several close encounters.

No horns, no slowing down, no letting you cross or in, not even a shout, just zoom.... you're still alive, zoom zoom.... that took a part of my coat that time.

And when the misses was in TO with her family, her dad was taking a picture of the tram and some homeless guy was shouting at them and saying that he hoped they die.... and another day some homeless people were sleeping on the sidewalks and pathways, and rather then someone asking them to move, or seeing if they need help, or anything, everybody just walked over them..... I mean not even enough decency to walk around them.

And then the response here over a billboard calling them cold?

Can't even take a joke.... talk about cold, jeez. XD (Joking, seriously lighten up fellas, the Newfies take jokes better)

But the above situations are true.
