Gunnair Gunnair: saturn_656 saturn_656: After everyone is done feigning outrage, remember that he is well within his rights to not give a damn about other peoples problems. Recognize the hypocritical post here as you berate others for giving their opinion while stating their target has a right to say what he will. I berated nobody. Just pointing out that everyone's knickers seem to be getting overly twisted especially considering the source of the comment in question. But keep bagging on the kid don't mind me.

Your 'feigning outrage' jab suggested you thought you had some kind of a moral highground which would allow you to defend the undefendable, and you took the opportunity to imply everyone was faking their annoyance for the conveniance to hack at the kid. At least man up and defend your arrogant assertion, instead of backpeddling from your position of moral weakness.

Perhaps you should look up the word "feigning" , with that single word you berated everyone who posted in opposition of his remarks.

Gunnair Gunnair: you took the opportunity to imply everyone was faking their annoyance for the conveniance to hack at the kid. Exaggerating their annoyance perhaps, I find it difficult to believe anyone could get that peeved at a kid for simply not giving a shit. You're an adult (I'm guessing here), he is a kid. It might be a good idea to interact on that basis. Would you deal with a kid with "insensitive" views like that in person?

I think people are annoyed because Mr. Canada said he found it hilarious, not that he didn't give a shit about others problems.

I'll concede that you may have a point in as much as I have to admit that No, I probably wouldn't have responded in such a fashion 'in person'. I likely wouldn't have said a word to him. I WOULD HAVE smacked him right in the mouth!

Taking the opportunity to make amazingly insensitive and annonymous comments on suicide in general suggests your assessment is incorrect. And yes, I have no problem telling some immature kid trying to interact with adults what is appropriate and what is not. I'm required to do it at work somewhat regularly. If he wants to hang with his buds behind the school, toke up and talk shit and just generally be an immature ass, that is his perogative. Do it here, on a public forum, and he'll be taken to task. As you afterall so eloquently point out, we each have the right to our opinion.

Our annoyance is not exaggerated by any means.

I grew up with, and still live by the credo 'Is it worth it'? Sometimes the answer is 'NO' and sometimes the answer is 'Yes'. This one is a definite 'YES'!

Why is everybody attacking MrC, while I found his comment pretty funny, but noone takes offence? Please, people, have a sense of humour. See it in the way he meant it (and yes, I know what depression and feeling like you are worth less than nothing feels like, so don't bring that up. Its a comment, nothing more, nothing less...)
