Limbaugh is a loud mouthed Idiot. If the Republicans flock behind him, they'll cease being a Political party altogether. Which is why I hope they do so.
If America is to have a bright political future, I would wish for the opposite, that they would see the error of their ways before it is too late. Political diversity in American federal politics is already in a very sorry state.
I agree. I consider myself to be a moderate conservative/republican, but if Limbaugh has his way I'll never support the GOP again. Limbaugh and his ilk refuse to learn anything but what they want to see as the truth, totally indifferent or immune to the actual facts on the ground. And they're so damn intolerant of moderates - or RINOs as they call them - that they risk alienating themselves.
The GOP will end up being a rump joke of a party, unless it has the wisdom to see through this nonsense.

Cut taxes.
The recession of the 1980, President Reagan cut taxes bring the U.S. out of the recession. It worked.
Well time will tell if Obama's plan works or sends the U.S. economy into a tail spin.
Explain to me how and when "it worked"?
It was called Reaganomics
The four pillars of Reagan's economic policy were to:[2]
1. reduce the growth of government spending, 2. reduce marginal tax rates on income from labor and capital, 3. reduce government regulation of the economy, 4. control the money supply to reduce inflation.
Taxes have already been cut and cut and cut some more for the past eight years. That is why America has a massive government deficit. If you spend yourself into oblivion and don't raise money to pay for all of that, you end up with massive debt.
The USA will indeed go the way the of the USSR, when they have to depend overwhelmingly on foreign debt to pay for their extravagances. When you don't pay your dues, collectors will eventually come knocking.
Well cutting taxes helped business to be more competitive in a global marketplace.
Bush ran up a 1.5 trillion dollar debt - the US debt is 4 trillion. (not all of it Bush's doing)
The war and anti-terrorism measures to keep America safe was the reason for this increased deficit.
Obama is spending more money in 6 weeks that has been spent in the 300 years the United States has been a country.
Yes it may take 10 years to pay for the war in Iraq, but it will take 2 to 3 generations to pay for Obama's remaking of the USSA (United States of Socialist America)
The United States has to print that money, and that will cause hyperinflation.
The United States Peso. Buy Euros!!!

Rush's speech was dead on. He speaks for me and millions of conservatives.
How unfortunate.

We are tired of being silent and watching our Country go down the tubes.
It's going down the tubes because people listen to selfish, ignorant pricks like Rush Limbaugh and elect selfish, ignorant pricks like Dick Cheney and George Bush. If Republicans don't smarten up, and fast, things are not going to get better.

We need to bring personal responsibility back to our nation.
Yes, indeed. Barack Obama might the man to do just that. I sincerely hope that you don't think George W. Bush's presidency was an era of responsibility in any way.

I am not interested in being bipartisan if that means SOCIALISM!!!!!!
You don't even know what that word means. America is already partly socialist. How do you think things like police, fire departments, roads, hospitals, medicaid, and public schools are paid for?

Yes, they should not have spent so much in the first place, considering most of that money was being shovelled into an unnecessary war. But they did, and now this is what they have.
Not a great deal unlike the spending "plan" that brought about the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Nope kinda like Obama's spending plan!!!!!!!!
George Bush approved similar bailout funding, in case you've already conveniently forgotten. Your government is in massive debt because of his spending habits. Either way, you're relying significantly on foreign debt, which is one of the factors that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

That only worked in the 1940's. It is not working now, and will not work again because we aren't working with the same economic model anymore. In case you haven't noticed, the Iraq war has cost the American economy, not boosted it. Throwing all of your resources into making things that explode and destroy other people's labour is not good for anyone's economy.

Invade Iran.
That would have some pretty horrible consequences.

You need to find a better economics instructor than wikipedia. The 1980 recession was created by the government, ON PURPOSE. It was created by "tight money" and solved by "loose money" as test of "zero inflation policy"...taxes had nothing to do with it.

Pull it out of your ass already...
The Economy sucks!! War is not a solution, we saw that with Iraq.
I heard this on TV, "a recession is when your neighbor is unemployed, a depression is when your unemployed." true.

It helped the economy once, because it gave jobs to millions of people who didn't have one, and employed a lot of women for the first time ever. Many of those jobs are now so technical that only certain kinds of skilled tradespeople can get into them because our weapons have become so much more complex.
