ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog: Axeman Axeman: hwacker hwacker: and Economists I have to concede, among economists, a sense of humour would put you in the minority. Definition of an Economist: Someone who is good with numbers but doesn't have enough personality to make it as an accountant. See what I'm up against? I should have said I was a pedophile or teacher so you guys wouldn't give me so much shit.

Canadian_Mind Canadian_Mind: Whatever happened to soldiers talking to the media about these sorts of things being unproffessional?
They'll be lucky if their superiors don't line them up infront fo a ridlfe squad behind the shitters for this. We serve to follow orders, our opinions don't matter, and as far as it goes wit the media it should be a case of don't ask, don't tell. Don't ask, Don't tell, opinions don't have a place in the military in the rank and file - correct me if im wrong, but as far as I can see - Obomba is the one who is wrong, he wants to open up a can of worms when he should keep his cake hole shut and his nose out.

As frightening as it is, I think I agree with you djakeydd. As bad as the "don't ask/don't tell" may have been, making this a public spectical isn't going to make it better. It took a decade for the forces to be mixed race so why do we expect this will be any different.. because there's a black man in the office now?

thats wonderful, If a person wishes to serve in defence of his/her nation then they should be allowed. This is a free society, ANYone should have the right to serve their nation. I've worked with gays in past, and NEVER have I had a problem. Perhaps some members who are intimidated by gays wanting to serve should swallow their pride and accept that gays want to serve.

Again, I don't think they care what you think. You lefties don't understand you can't force by law somebody to change their thinking.

I don't see why serving with a gay guy would matter. If he can do the job, then who cares?
