karra karra: lol, when I left home this morn' at 0700 - it was -32. Didn't get much warmer during the rest of the allowable daylight hours - nearly 200 collisions in and around the Nations Capital, on the ROC side of the river - observed perhaps a half-dozen remnants - crappy day to be involved in one of those - standing around, waiting for the police and tow trucks, sans gloves, proper footware, no scarves or headgear - I swear, it's enough to cause one to wonder. . . . Funny about that, its +1 in Saskatoon right now! Low last night -2.

Eisensapper Eisensapper: Ya ya ya, still the people out in NB do not know what cold really is, they maybe get a week of actual cold weather a year. They do, however, seem to know about snow!

westmanguy westmanguy: Frick.
It was -51 with wind chill today where I live.
School was canceled across the region. Way to friggin' cold.
Here is the crazy thing...after tomorrow our temperatures are surging to -2, 0, then +1
It's going to be melting by Saturday.
So -51 (with wind chill) to melting conditions within 48 hours...is that not crazy or what? Try one of these, it might help

mtbr mtbr: Canadians..when its cold in Toronto it's "Canadians" western Canada was in a deep freeze for a month but it was never "Canadians" face deep freeze. Because western Canada isn't all of Canada, the article or report for that just labeled it western Canada in deep freeze. This deep freeze is all over Canada, hence "Canadians".

It's plus 14 here so it's not all over Canada, , last time I checked we're still in Canada. 9 in Whitehorse, 4 in Saskabush all parts of Canada.

Unfortunately it is going to start to cool down again with more snow. I was starting to get my hopes up that I could get the motorcycle out of the garage and go for a ride. Just a few more days of temperatures in the 10*C+ range and the slush and ice would melt enough that I could get out to a main street. I haven't been out since early December and now have quite a case of PMS. (post motorcycle syndrom)
