The shortage of winter tires is not because of the new Quebec law, winter tire sales in Quebec are only up 50% while in Ontario they're up 83%..it's the bandwagon/panic effect , blame Ontario for the shortages.

uwish uwish:
BS

I was rear ended at a 4 way stop. I saw the guy sliding but there was a vehicle driving threw the intersection.

No mistakes were committed, I wasn't even moving yet..presto! he hit me.

granted I wasn't at fault, but I am finding many police services (not just EPS) that say ANY accident is avoidable. Which is complete and utter BS.

What did I say? Oh yeah...

$1:
Not one that's your fault.

Police services are correct, there are no real accidents.

In your case (and in the case of two morons who hit me), it was the OTHER driver who wasn't following the rules. If he rear ended you, then he was driving too fast for the road conditions and/or following too close, therefore, he wasn't following the rules, now was he? Your accident could have been avoided had the other driver been driving properly.

I realize it's a matter of semantics, but your accidents had someone at fault, the other driver.

True no fault accidents are incredibly rare.
