I was a central poll supervisor yesterday. I.D. was only
a problem for maybe four people out of 8 polls total, and
two of the four were just attitude problems..as in..
"You know me ! I've lived here all
my life ! Why do I have to show I.D.?"
Biggest pissoff for people was not being on the voters list,
[some after registering the last 2 or 3 elections]. Elections
Canada is not very good at their job. Second biggest pissoff
was for widows whose dead husbands are still on the voters list
up to 4 years after thay died, in spite of correction notices
being filled out the last two elections...like I say, Elections
Canada aren't very good at what they do.
BTW..all changes to Elections Canada voting procedures require the
approval of all parties...not just the one in power. The I.D. thing
had the approval of all parties....and screw the natives...they have
all the I.D. opportunities the rest of us do.
