Apparently we need to invest in some adult literacy training for a few members of the armed forces...or maybe members of the Conservative Party.

Condescending ass.

Reverend as a former service member of her majesty's armed forces you can take your fucken degrading comments and shove them right up your ass.

before you want to spout off about the men and women serving and being killed in the Canadian Forces you might want to pick up a rifle and stand watch, until that time

SHUT THE FUCK UP

The same folks who are defending the proposed Liberal defence cuts are the same folks who were bitching that the democratic agreement to leave Afghanistan by 2011 is unnaceptable. It's the same with procurement. They demand everything be made in Canada then bitch that everything costs too much.

Stop playing politics with the forces and the lives of the troops.

Why would the Liberals defend themselves from your lies, Riden. You are pitiful.

Liberals will cut funding for the military in order to
prop up their typically useless initiatives.
Their sorry track record speaks for itself.
And governments don't 'create' real jobs...most especially
Leftist governments.

"It's a poor mind that can only think of one way to spell a word." Mark Twain or Ben Franklin or somebody. And I likely screwed up the wording too. The guy had a point though.

And so does McRobert...

Written 8 days ago about a site member posting about correct spelling.

Image maybe?

Spelling errors are far different from a constant inability to comprehend the meaning of a relatively simple statement, SprCForr. Of course I could have been much less generous and said they were purposely twisting words to spread an untruth.

$1:

So are you saying that being in the military...by definition a job created by the government...is not a real job?

Are you saying that encouraging an industry that creates 7-10 spin-off jobs for every job directly created with government money does not create real jobs? (Those were the estimates for the ethanol industry)

He interpreted it differently. Except for the last two lines, everything SigPig wrote did happen. Or was your snark directed to some other CF member?

If the Chretien or Martin government put foreward their costs on Afghanistan, we could accurately compare spending....
if...

Somehow I don't think anyone in the forces is voting Liberal anyways.

There's a bit of a pattern of that kind of misinterpretation among the Conservatives here and elsewhere, SprCForr. When it has something to do with the military, those members claiming to be part of the military tend to misinterpret.

Dion never said he was cutting the military, he just refused to promise that he wouldn't. I gave the benefit of the doubt to those who lack the wherewithal to understand the difference, assuming they had literacy problems. Perhaps they are just being dishonest though.

You want to be able to spend on the troops without limit, vetting or oversight and pretend that is democratic. Are you fucking serious?

We spent on a mission somewhere between $8 to $28 Billion on this with nearly 100 dead and leaving on an arbitrary troop rotation date. Karzi has yet to demonstrate that his own domestic forces have any ability to even secure the capitol, let alone the whole nation that has a porous boarders. 6 months ago it was treason to even suggest a pull out date and now your walking away in the dead of night. Sorry, the mission sucks but last I checked our colours don't run. We have what in the form of a plan after 2011? I haven't heard shit have you? What happens if it all goes to hell then what do we have a plan B to go back in or do we wash our hands? I haven't heard you say shit about that Rain.

I figured you were hacking on SigPig for the spelling. If you weren't, no worries.

Partisan politics comes in many flavours and this place is like freezers at Sobey's.

Put that in perspective..
Did we get a parliamentary discussion and vote in 2002?
What about when martin moved us?

No.. and no.

The lapdog media didn't even notice back then.

I'm not saying it's all cupcakes and sprinkles but it's better now than before.
I don't like the arbitrary 2011 deadline but that's what we agreed on and that's what democracys do. Canada can't stay there forever and we must set and end date, reguardless of what Afghanistan or NATO wants.

January 2002. We were committed and not entirely I might add. We were told we were looking for someone, something to do with last September I think. The approval was granted not by the US but by the UN. Are you saying that during that period of time we should have sat around and did nothing while there was a chance to catch a mass murderer?

WE SENT JTF2 RAIN not the whole dam army. THIS was the mission. Don't give me that media lapdog clap trap.
