ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

I can't believe all the conspiracy theories being purported here. They're gonna turn the US into a police state, this is only the tip of the iceberg and by next week the country will all be bowing to Darth Bush, etc etc etc.

I guess given the premise that using the military in this manner is the first step to taking over the country, must mean that both Toronto and southern Manitoba are now being run by a dictators who have trampled all over human rights. ROTFL ROTFL

Give your heads a shake. One of the main mandates of any military is aid to civil power. That's all this is, no ursupring of democracy or a giant conspiracy to take over the county. Something tells me certain people watch far to many movies.

True. That's part of why I oppose Obama. He supported the arbitrary seizure of guns in New Orleans and I expect as President he'll sign an Executive Order banning guns and then the party will be on.

I'm pretty sure McCain or people in his staff has stated they wanted more or better "gun controle" aswell. I'm positive I read it somewhere.

And I agree. It's pretty obvious that they want to disarm america.

It's already a police state. You think there's a shortage of roadblocks or heavily armed police in the U.S? I'm afraid you're not in the realm of reality if that is the case.

It's enough reading the laws imposed by the Bush administration after 9/11 or taking a glanse at the weapons the police have at their disposal to subdue protestors.
Reality is a lot scarier than movies.

With Palin as his VP McCain would have opposition within his own cabinet to any gun control measures. Not to mention that the US Supreme Court already weighed in on this and affirmed the right to keep and bear arms as an individual right. Obama would be hoping to overturn the Heller decision with a new liberal Supreme Court if he gets the chance to appoint a Justice.

Palin? Come on! She's a pupet! And an embarasment for the whole party! Her incoherent rambling is in par with what you would expect Jesica Simpson uttering.

Just take a look at this.. *shakes head*

Obama on the other hand is dangerous. He's a relatively young, handsome, very articulate and charismatic person and on top of that he's black which only further improves his credibility when it comes to real change.

Of coarse, he's just as deprived of morality, character and descensy as the rest of them.

I think with the coming financial crunch, everyone will be too worried
about this to spend much time on gun control.

having spent time in the both the US and Europe, i can easily say
it would be much easier to introduce martial law into Europe..

btw Bart, what is this ? (I signed the 29 Palms declaration)

Martial law into the whole of Europe? Ore is there a specific country you're thinking about? I don't see that ever happening in Scandinavia. Not even in EU's biggest economy, Germany.
