Streaker Streaker:
Eisensapper Eisensapper:
So Canadian soldiers are all trigger happy? I would have loved to bring you along on one of our patrols. When we were attacked we could not call in artillery, because of the risk of collateral damage, most of the Taliban were able to get away that day.

Ahh... The ROEs...

I hear a lot of bitching from soldiers about the ROEs, which is very telling, don't you think?

I dont bitch about the ROEs we have now, they are pretty good. They will never be perfect but its alot better then when you are on a peacekeeping mission,

Example:

You can have a woman come running up to the gate of a camp crying in a foreign language it looks like she wants in.
A man in a uniform drives up in a car walks out with a gun in his hand pointed at the ground, he walks ups stands between you and the woman, without warning he shoots her in the head.
Without turning around he walks back to his car and drives off.

In the past ROE's in some UN engagements left Canadian soldier with nothing to stop this, besides yelling for the uniformed man to stop. This was a senrio I was given on my SQ training by a MCpl who was in Bosnia. I doubt this situation ever happened to him, but after reading the ROE's we were given it was very possible.

 You've got to be kidding me!!

Or is there a double-standard at CKA which allows all kinds of offensive content while forbidding any questioning or critique of our participation in this war in Afghanistan?

I knew who you were talking about, I asked what Lies he had spread about Afghanistan.

Nice try, but Iraq and Afghanistan are a package deal. You don't get to isolate them into two separate wars.

You might as well say the Arab/Israeli wars and Vietnam were a package deal also then, eh?

Interesting.... I thought flaming was personally insulting someone. I've received quite a few personal insults here at CKA.

Where was Mario's policeman for those?

Streaker, exactly what do you think? Do you think there are no US soldiers in A-gan? You are out in left field buds.

Sure they have a presence in Afghanistan, but it's paltry compared to what they have happening in Iraq.

So unless you're in uniform it's taboo to comment on the war in Afghanistan?

But conveniently non-taboo to refer to liberals and anti-war types as "Taliban supporters", eh?

When you trump the same lines that the Taliban use to the international community..... you make your bed you have to lie in it I never refered to the Liberals as Taliban supporters. I don't think any of our politicians are
