uwish uwish:
so you think tough on crime is redneck?

No, but increased mandatory minimums for crimes that are a shrinking problem most places just because it resonates with your redneck base is redneck.

uwish uwish:
you think lower taxes is redneck?

No, but it's cheap on thought and expensive on money, and is the typical refrain of the redneck.

uwish uwish:
you think getting rid of (another) billion dollar boondoggle gun registry is redneck?

No, that one makes a certain amount of sense.

uwish uwish:
you think lowering the GST is redneck?

It's shortsighted. The RESP plan that we're told we can't afford because of the GST cut would have been a much better tax cut. A plain income tax cut would have been a better cut. We've got a personal debt problem here and making purchases cheaper does nothing to solve that. Perhaps makes it worse by encouraging people to buy things they shouldn't and not save when they should.

uwish uwish:
you think improving and re-equipping the CF is redneck?

No, that one makes sense.

uwish uwish:
you think senate reform is redneck?

The way he's going about it sure as fuck is, look who his last (and only real) appointment was.

uwish uwish:
well if it is, then I SURE AS FUCK am a redneck! I think you will find a hard time arguing against ANY of those points.

Not really. You only made one and a half good ones out of five.

mtbr mtbr:

You did...looks like you figured out who "they" were....amazing!

mtbr mtbr:
It proves Conservatives aren't partisan with their appointments, unlikeLibs.
So, if the head of Elections Canada is not partisan than what is your argument again?
mtbr mtbr:
All the Liberal appointed judges in Ottawa were probably too busy signing pardons for their liberal friends....all those pot smokers and pedophiles.
Is this just more of your blowhard nonsense or do you have any evidence this is happening?

From what I heard, the list of documents was pretty broad so they probably wanted a judge who would not look too close at their request. They also needed the RCMP to tag along for the media to get their "raid" story pictures.

It's definately starting to unravel.

The only things unraveling are Harper's hopes of ever leading a majority government.

Harper will have to learn to sing Irish folk songs.

Wasn't it an awful Liberal-appointed judge who looked into the Sponsorship scandal too?

I've initiated DDM because I'm not happy with any political parties. If you are not happy with the media, start a new one.

and judging from your well rounded and informative post around here I am sure it will be a welcome addition to the already useless and corrupt parties we currently have federally. Welcome to yet another pointless party with no hope of accomplishing anything and likely have a constitution that mandates all leaders must be francophone as well!

yes welcome

It's more than another party, it's the most anti-corruption (transparent) movement imaginable.

Wow, what happened to all the big C conservatives around here.

Don't see too many blue C's here

I thought this was a haven for the "Harper-can-do-no-wrong" right wing poop heads.

fifeboy fifeboy:
mtbr mtbr:
I bet CTV or CBC will never put this little tidbit in their headlines
What little tidbit is that----that someone, sometime in the past appointed a judge.

By the way, I thought you were just against the CBC, I see your expanding your dislikes. Well, you must be right-- lets see what CTV is offering in way of biased reporting on their website:

TOP STORIES:

Harper, Bush, Calderon praise NAFTA at summit...

Harper says Tories followed spending rules...

Central bank cuts key interest rate to 3 per cent...

Montreal police blame 'organized vandals' for riot...

Family angry they weren't told about daughter's health...

Priest missing after carried away by party balloons..... (Now I gotta read that one)

Under "Canada" we get the terrible bias of:

* Montreal college closed after online threat issued...

* Mexican judge finds Brenda Martin guilty... (no-not that Martin)

* Molson to supply official 2010 Olympic beer...

* Woman lied about abuse to teach boyfriend 'lesson'...

After looking at this pack of lies and other abuses of journalism, I can only agree with you mtbr, they really are a bunch of "Liberal" toadies.CTV News :o

So where was this story? This is a big Liberal red flag that something is wrong, mtbr calls shenanigans and to pove him wrong, you come up with a list of stories that don't show this story. All they show is more smear.
I bet if we stitched over to CBC we'd get Gomeshi interviewing some lame ass Toronto band about the song they wrote about Harper's hair.

I'm guessing that after Elections Canada finds the CPC right, this will all sink and you goofs will go back to scraping up muck somewhere else. I thought Warren Kinsella's campaigns were muck raking but I guess desperate times call for sad and pathetic actions.

This is nothing. The judge had to be appointed by someone. The Liberals had been in power for quite some time so it stands to reason that most judges were appointed by the Liberals. You're going to have to do more than just say who appointed the judge that signed the warrant to even allege any wrongdoing.

I really don't think the judge being appointed by the Libs is a very big deal. What is rather curious though is why did Elections Canada have to a judge in Toronto for the search warrant. Were they looking for someone who would be more sympathetic to their cause? Did they attempt to get a warrant in Ottawa and if they did were they declined?

After a guilty verdict in this case, the Court has the legal authority to disband the CPC (and liquidate its assets).
