I'm curious about the why in that. What difference does it make if it's genetically manipulated. If the Embryo can be manipulated to weed out genetic abnormalities that may result in suffering of the child. Isn't that a good thing?

The nazis tinkered with a primitive form of genetics. What they did and what we're capable of now is like comparing alchemy to chemistry. Besides they only wanted to tinker with their genes to create Germanic ubermensch. This allows for the improvement of the entire species without the taint of racism.
