I am stilling trying to figure out the media fasination with snow in Canada in winter. Was it unexpected?

The two local dailys had a total of seven print articles and two videos related to 15cm of snow..... I ain't gettin it. I don't watch the local news so I don't know about them, but I am guessing a minimum of one and more likely two per station.

Pussies! The square things outside the door are because the tent doors open outward and the whole tent city was trapped one day last month.
