Why? You are talking about "women" who shouldn't wear pants. What does my nationality have to do with this?
If women can't wear pants, why should men?

I don't think so... But then again, I don't work for KLM, and neither do you. So that is speculation on both sides...
I think I am going to send them an email, ask them about protocol

I think I am going to send them an email, ask them about protocol There's many instances in Canada of people having uniforms changed to accomodate their religions. The Sikhs for one, also natives have been allowed to wear long hair and braids in the RCMP. If it's good enough for them I'm sure this woman will win her case.

Maybe, but does that make it right? I for one think it is absolutely ridiculous Sikhs can wear their Turbans always. I think it is too PC for words.
On the other hand, you are talking about Government jobs. I am not sure what company the lady was working for, but if that was a privately owned company, I sure hope she doesn't stand a chance.

I expect this will change once her human rights tribunal finishes. When I was young I thought Sikhs wearing turbans in the RCMP was awful but then I realized it's not hurting anyone.

Not only in the RCMP, on motorcycles too. When they get in an accident, and don't wear the helmet you and I have to, the police and ambulance personel can pick up the pieces of their head. It is not only religious reasons, it should be about safety too.
Next think you know, muslima's will be allowed to wear their headscarfs without a helmet on a bike, because the helmet will ruin the pin that holds it. Come on, it makes no sense at all.
Church and state should be separated. Now it isn't. And I don't agree with that.
