raydan raydan: DrCaleb DrCaleb: Civility!!! What about it? I was commenting on the word 'troll'. It can be a verb, or it can be an adjective. In the former form, it describes an action. eg: "to troll" In the latter, it could be considered a personal attack. eg: "a troll" Just an FYI to everyone.

Freakinoldguy Freakinoldguy: No matter how many red herrings get thrown out the truth is that Trudeau should never have promised that he'd take responsibility for the actions of No. He is doing his job perfectly. PETsCumStain's job is to deflect attention away from the guilty parties. Why do you think people paid so much to get him (s)elected??? Freakinoldguy Freakinoldguy: Trudeau gambled and lost, something he's been doing alot of lately. No. He is winning. The poor honest-to-goodness refugees and the tax-payers lost.

Freakinoldguy Freakinoldguy: No matter how many red herrings get thrown out the truth is that Trudeau should never have promised that he'd take responsibility for the actions of the Syrian refugees because anyone with half a brain would know the odds that at least one of the 46,700 wouldn't be the nice person they claimed they were and commit a heinous crime was beyond extremely high.
Trudeau gambled and lost, something he's been doing alot of lately. Except he never said it.

To get technical the closest Junior came to taking responsibility for keeping Canada safe as he opened the country up to the Sunni Muslims of the Syrian war zone was a claim of commitment to security. The implication being he would 'keep Canadians safe.' https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/ ... n-refugeesBut when you combine that with his infamous tweet of what sounded like an open-ended invitation to the world's refugees, it does seem to imply a kind of naive confidence in his ability to make good on his commitment.

Tricks Tricks: Freakinoldguy Freakinoldguy: No matter how many red herrings get thrown out the truth is that Trudeau should never have promised that he'd take responsibility for the actions of the Syrian refugees because anyone with half a brain would know the odds that at least one of the 46,700 wouldn't be the nice person they claimed they were and commit a heinous crime was beyond extremely high.
Trudeau gambled and lost, something he's been doing alot of lately. Except he never said it. You and Zipperfish are absolutely right, here's some of his statements: $1: “It didn’t take the tragedy in Paris for us to suddenly realize that security’s important,” Trudeau said Tuesday as he travelled to the Philippines. “We’ve known for a long time, and we continue to be very much committed to keeping Canadians safe while we do the right thing to engage responsibly on this humanitarian crisis.” https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/ ... n-refugeesUnfortunately he was talking about large scale terrorist attacks and forgot that given human nature there was going to be at least one of the Syrian refugee's who'd go off the rails and commit a heinous crime which is to bad, especially for one young girl. But I can see where people get literary license to change things into what suits them best because when talking about ISIS fighters returning he unequivocally stated: $1: "We are very alert and responsible for keeping Canadians safe, keeping our communities safe. It's something we will never compromise on. I can assure you, sir, you are very safe here in this room right now." https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/hamilt ... -1.4481025So, when you combine everything he's said you can actually twist it into whatever you want and hopefully his statement on returning ISIS fighters isn't tested. BTW if we are being "trolled" by the Russians can we now sit at the adults table?

DrCaleb DrCaleb: Civility!!! Oh FFS stop taking yourselves so seriously you two, stop trying to show off you are the new CO's of this prison. I just noticed me and a lot of others have warnings now ( first time since Ive had one since I've been here in almost 10 years ) because Mr Snowflake got butt hurt and locked the thread, so he can't get called out on his bullshit anymore. First he was acting like a wimp by throwing around red squares and now since he has new "powers" he goes around "warning" everybody. Fuck civility, this place is a distraction from real life and if you can't let loose here and blow some then whats the point, and this coming from an outsider who has been through the grinder here at the grumpy old white men club a.k.a CKA. Oh yeah, guess I'll be getting another "warning" now again, eh!

Zipperfish Zipperfish: I'd tell you to learn some grammar but I wouldn't want to be accused of personally attacking anyone. Coming from you I'd consider that a recommendation from a man of letters as opposed to a commentary on the state of someone's relative literacy.

The reputation system is one of give and take. The tradition that it is only for positive recognition is just that, a tradition. Also, the little red and green squares mean nothing at the end of the day. 2. I have not gone around warning anyone other than you. You're actually the very first person to receive a warning from me. Now if you'll calm down a bit and lay off the personal insults you'll have the opportunity to prove me wrong about you. You'll recall some time ago I said something to the effect that sooner or later you'd show your true colors. I'd sincerely prefer if I was wrong about that.

The implication being he would 'keep Canadians safe.' Yes! This exemplifies the beauty of double-speak and statecraft! The definition of "safe" as it pertains to "Canadians" is akin to a farmer keeping his flock of sheep safe from the wolves because the farmer wants to fuck the sheep before he slaughters them.

I've been here a little over 8 years now and been calling you a racist bigot since day 1 nothing has changed. Like I said if the cap fits, wear it. And I've been hearing about that true colours bullshit since the day I walked in, 8 years is a long time to be puttin' up an act for absolutely nothing at all. And yeah the red squares don't mean nothing thats why the few I have, more than half are from you since day 1, your petty way of getting back at someone after getting butt hurt when you can't any other way. And now this. Carry on .....Sheriff

Carry on .....Sheriff If you want to really make me look bad and bigoted about you then behave yourself. By the way, I haven't done anything about the PM you sent to me. If I were truly out to 'get you' then that would have been an easily justifiable ban. I really mean it when I ask you to calm down and just cut it out with the personal insults. I do not agree with much of what you say anymore but you are a valued member of the forum and you do add to the place with your viewpoints. Kindly just take a breath, count to ten, and go from there, okay?
