herbie herbie:
No but I'll ask you this: If a gay guy grabbed your knee and hit on you would you even think of the court system before you reacted?
Your immediate reaction wouldn't be 'he's going to rape me'. You probably wouldn't even consider it an assault.
You'd think nothing of a teammate slapping your ass after a good play, you wouldn't consider slapping a female teammate on the ass without permission. And an innapropriate touch is not as loathesome as 'grab 'em by the pussy'.
Interesting question because in 1969 I shared a cab with what turned out to be a gay guy and when sitting in the back seat he put his hands on my knee. He probably never did that again, but then again he had no power over me so he had nothing to prevent me from readjusting his nose and eyes.
What we're talking about here is power not sex. They have it and the people both male and female who work for them don't so. given that gender only plays a limited role in their actions there is basically no difference between the two sexes when it comes to the reasons nobody reported these animals and why they thought they could continue to carry on with impunity.
As for patting a woman on her ass for making a good play, well it'd never happen. My mother would reach out from the grave and slap me so hard up the side of the head that I'd be walking backwards for the rest of my life if I ever did that. So no I never would.
