Oh we care. We care if they stay that is. They said they were leaving. We have it on video. That constitutes a verbal contract. I say hold them to it. You said you were leaving, than leave. I'd give them 48 hours to get the hell out after inauguration, or spend the next four years in GITMO, eight years if Trump gets reelected. There was a time when a mans word actually meant something. His word was his bond. I say we get back to that kind of honesty in America. I say we start now with these yahoos. If you talk the talk, you better be able to walk the walk. Oh sure it will finally work its way up the courts, but that takes years. Years that we won't have to deal with these douchebags. Years that they can spend rubbing elbows with people from all around the world. Give those people a chance to see what a bunch of pretentious, whiny assholes these people really are. Just how shallow they really are. How they throw a tantrum when their latte is not made to perfection. It would give new meaning to the term: ugly American. People in the states that deal with these "celebrities" on a regular basis know the real people behind the facade. These "celebrities" have PR firms that spin their image. They put them in attendence at charity events, and fund raisers. They have them speak on items beyond their depth like global warming. This pre fabricated image is what the world sees concerning the Hollywood elite. Make them move abroad {like they said they would) without their handlers, without their PR spinmeisters. Let the world see these assholes for what they really are for a while. See if they still have a career four years down the road. Who knows, mabey I'm wrong. Maybe the rest of the world is as hung up on and star struck with these douchebags as we are. Mabey their star will grow abroad because they are martyrs being persecuted. I'm willing to take the chance and find out.

For a Trump supporter, this is about to get very awkward, very soon. You could be right. Washington definitely has the ability to change a man. Many people have talked a good game only to forget their base once they get to Washington D.C. We will see. We don't know if he will keep his word or not, so he gets the benefit of the doubt. These celebs don't. They have already been proven to be lying sacks of shit when they didn't leave like they said they would when W was reelected. I say teach them to keep their word, or better yet keep their trap shut. No one really gives a shit about their political leanings. They get paid to read cue cards, tell jokes, and play instruments. So get back to being the court jesters already and leave the critical thinking skills to people who actually have a clue what they are talking about.

Well your faith in him can remain unsullied, since nobody really knows what his word is exactly. He'll make up some bullshit, then deny he ever said it when called on it. I figure he's about to take lying in politics to a whole new level, with his acolytes chanting along "he never said it, he didn't mean it, he said something else....he said what I heard because I want to buleeeeeeve." Wonder how long that phase will last.

Wonder how long that phase will last. I'm not saying you are wrong. You may very well be right. We Americans have a long record of selective hearing loss, We have it down to an art form. If it was an Olympic event, we would be the perennial gold medal winners. We hear what we want to hear. No argurment here. I think it has something to do with us being the eternal optimist. We have that John Wayne thing going on, where the odds are never insurmountable. No mountain is to tall to conquer. No battle is unwinnable. We have always been told what we couldn't do. We never bought it. A ragtag collection of misfits could not stand up to the most powerful army in the world. Man flying was impossible. The Panama canal was unbuildable. Bastogne could not be held. The spread of communism was inevitable. Aircraft could not safely break the sound barrier. A man could not walk on the moon.Yeah we have heard what we "can't do " from day one. We don't buy it. We always believe that tomorrow will be better than today. We do want to beleeeeeeeve. Its who we are. Always has been. Always will be.

xerxes xerxes: Can't stop laughing at people yelling at celebrities for voicing opinions about the election when they voted for a reality TV star. These celebrities always do this thinking their threats of leaving the country would influence people to vote for their candidate and every time when it doesn't work out they back track.
