Well, people are free to criticize him just as he's free to say what he wants. If he had posted "all lives matter" all the foamers here would be congratulating him for his courageous stand. So it goes.

And yet when that idiot tenor held up the "all lives matter sign" during the playing of the Canadian National Anthem the condemnation was pretty much equal from the SJW's and as you call them, foamers. BTW of his biggest critics was the left's favourite right wing whipping boy Don Cherry.

So, should this clown should be given a pass for turning a sporting event into a political forum because he championed something you agree with?

Nope, have at him. Personally I don't care much either way. As for the tenor, or other instances, I mostly just know what I read here, I don't really follow stories like that very closely.

To be fair though, he (and everybody else) should "champion" on his own time, not on his employee's.

I would love to hear Kaepernick's stance on the stats that show black-on-black violence is through the roof versus white-on-black violence. Black Lives Matter and their supporters focus on the wrong thing entirely.

I would love to hear your stance on the stats that American-on American violence is through the roof versus Terrorist-on-American violence. Does this mean anti-terrorists and their supporters focus on the wrong thing entirely?

you mean employer's? They're OK with what he did. Should employers be enforcing patriotism? That really would be an infringement of free speech.

The only difference is that the Tenor actively did something while Kaepernick simply refused to do something. A better comparison to the Tenor would be Kanye West's " Bush doesn't care about Black People" episode and as Andy said "have at him" for that.

But if a person doesn't want to stand for an anthem or put their hand on their heart they shouldn't be forced to.

Active vs. Passive.

Now if he had refused to stand for some visiting politician, he'd be offside because is insulting an actual human being, not an abstract idea.

Privilege is making $12 million a year, paid in The Enemy's currency too, at something you're not even any good at.

I didn't hear too much fuss when Tim Tebow would Genuflect and make the sign of the cross after every touchdown. You might argue that isn't political but if a Muslim decided to face Mecca and bow to Allah after each play it damn well would be.

Some people are more patriotic than others. Some people think their countries are great, some think it was once great and needs to be great again and some people think it is god awful.

Forced patriotism is not patriotism at all, people fought for our freedoms so we could choose our beliefs. Kaepernicks views are dead wrong IMO, but freedom means he can hold them until someone convinces him that they are.

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

I don't watch felon's league football because from top to bottom, from the owners to the coaches to the players and apparently even to the low-paid jerkoffs who keep the balls inflated, it's one of the worst gatherings of corporatized criminals and cheaters in the United States. The worship of football, and the garbage that run it and play in it, is an obscenity. I'm not a fan, I've never been a fan, so you can't tag me with any two-faced fan label. It doesn't apply. All the sports leagues are fucked up in their own way. But American football, from high school to the rapist-training circuit in college through to the NFL? American football is an actively EVIL entity.

And free speech? Here's mine: Kapernick is a gutless anti-American puke. I hope he gets fired and never plays another game in his fucking life. He can take all the money the white man was stupid enough to give him and fuck off back to the hood with it.
