DrCaleb DrCaleb:
BartSimpson BartSimpson:
Sorry to bail from this but I have an epic migraine starting and I can barely see the keyboard.

Hope you are feeling better sir. :(

Thank you and somewhat. I didn't get home in time to get an Atavan into me so the 'halo' period came and went and then the only thing I could do was just pop some sleeping pills and sleep through the worst of it.

I'm looking forward to three days of constant headache now and having to avoid coffee and alcohol - and that's torture for me! :(

Ooo! Ouch! I get cluster headaches, but they rarely linger that long. It's the ones that don't hurt, but put big psychedelic blotches all through my vision that I despise.

Andy's link looks interesting too. I've seen a few studies going back and reviewing the use of things like psilocybin and LSD for the treatment of such things. One of the recent trends is to use micro doses of LSD to enhance cognitive function throughout the day, instead of caffeine.

I first saw it on National Geographic about a guy in Texas who grows his own psilocbybin. A real straight Texan who hated taking it because of the intense colors and other sensory effects. :) He only had to take a dose about every three months, wasn't like he had to be constantly high.

The thing with psilocybin is you can grow your own, vs trying to find a clean source of LSD.

If you know a bit about chemistry, you can use moldy bread to make your own LSD. ;)

Setting up a lab to do that would likely be much more involved than just growing some mushrooms. All you need is horseshit. I guess the advantage to LSD is you can more precisely adjust the dose.
